Qazvin, Iran

To provide a system of green walls for the decoration of interior walls of restaurant premises.

Over an area totalling 42 sqm, 1344 VersiWall GP (VGP) 2060 trays were mounted on Elmich’s proprietary VGM mounting panels which were installed on the interior walls of the restaurant. The anchoring system of the trays allow them to be mounted in close proximity, allowing the plants to create a dense overlapping wall with no gaps in between. To protect the trays from being dislodged accidentally by restaurant staff and patrons, anti-lift arms were inserted into the individual trays, locking them in place and preventing the dislodgement of VGP trays from their mounts.

The VGP 2060 trays were planted with a variety of plants to provide a luscious backdrop of living greenery, creating a warm, comfortable, and relaxed ambience for the modern Italian restaurant.

TrackGard® was used to create a guided and relatively sand-free walkway for a sand sculpting exhibition of over 2,400m². The transformation of ordinary sand into incredible works of art attracted over 80,000 visitors over a 4-day event period.

The hexagonal design of each tile allows for interlocking supports on all six sides to provide excellent strength and durability for heavy foot traffic, even on unstable soft substrates such as sand.

In comparison with metal-plated or concrete flooring setup, this solution requires no heavy machinery to load to the event site. Assembly is done on-site and, removal or deployment requires shorter lead time as opposed to the former flooring methods mentioned.

Stadium

To provide ground protection for heavy military vehicle display.

TrackGard® was used to create temporary ground protection for heavy military vehicular displays of up to 20,000 kg per vehicle.

The hexagonal design of each tile allows for interlocking supports on all six sides to provide excellent security and durability for heavy vehicular traffic when the military vehicles drove in position. The honeycombed structure on the underside of each tile is designed to provide support for extreme loads. A geotextile fabric is placed underneath for guided placement of the tiles according to a floorplan layout.

Outdoor Event Space

To provide a temporary activity platform and walking pathway for an outdoor event.

TrackGard^® was used to create a temporary event platform for fans to discover their inner Jedi through a “Padawan Training” activity over a 10-day period.

The hexagonal design of each tile allows for interlocking supports on all six sides to provide excellent strength and durability for heavy foot traffic.  The colours of the TrackGard^® tiles were customised to match the theme of the event, and stickers of the Emblem of the Rebel Alliance were pasted on the tiles for decorative purposes.

The non-slip surface of the TrackGard^® tiles reduced possibilities of accidental slipping during periods of wet weather. The easy to install TrackGard^® system minimised assembly and disassembly times, preventing inconvenience towards pedestrians.

Golf Course

To provide temporary ground protection for vehicular access on the golf course.

TrackGard® was used to create temporary ground protection for vehicular access (golf cart access) on a golf course.

The hexagonal design of each tile allows for interlocking supports on all six sides to provide excellent strength and durability for vehicular traffic. A series of halved tiles were also used on the edges to create a straight pathway.

F1 Pit Building

To provide temporary event flooring and walking pathway for an outdoor venue.

TrackGard® was used to create a temporary event area and pedestrian pathway at F1 Pit Building to accommodate event goers for the Formula 1 Night Race.

The hexagonal design of each tile allows for interlocking supports on all six sides to provide excellent strength and durability for heavy foot traffic.  The non-slip surface of the TrackGard® reduced possibilities of accidental slipping during periods of rainfall.

Padang, Singapore

To provide temporary ground cover and walking pathway for Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon.

TrackGard^® was used to create a temporary footpath and race village area at Padang, accommodating over 48,000 Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon runners.

The hexagonal design of each tile allows for interlocking supports on all six sides to provide excellent strength and durability for heavy foot traffic.

TrackGard^® also served as a markup of the different areas within the race village including a designated parking area for authorised heavy vehicles. The non-slip surface of the TrackGard^® also prevented accidental slipping due to wet floor conditions brought about by the rain and provided a mud-free walkway for runners.

Aldington, Ashford, Kent, UK

To provide a green wall system to improve the entrance to their offices, add visual interest and reduce the environmental impact of a warehouse in a rural location.

Elmich VersiWall^® GP (VGP) was used to establish a living wall with dimensions of 4.8m (width) by 2.4m (height), totalling 11.5 square metres. The living wall comprised of 200 VGP 2060 trays mounted on a 75mm weld mesh panel framework suspended on mesh brackets, which are secured to a Unistrut metal framing system bolted to the building.

Inadvertent dislodgment of the VGP trays by inclement weather was prevented by the insertion of anti-lift arms into the hooks of the trays, effectively locking the trays to the mounting panel. An automated drip irrigation system was incorporated to deliver irrigation and nutrients to the plants in the individual trays on the wall at programmed intervals for pre-set durations with the aid of a control panel.

The trays are then planted with different hues of Heucheras to achieve the desired aesthetic effect.

10 Ubi Avenue 1, Singapore

To provide green wall system for installation of two green walls.

Welded wire mesh was installed onto two walls to support the mounting of VersiWall® GP (VGP) trays according to the plant design. A drip irrigation system was incorporated in the system and a drainage gully installed at the base of the walls to collect and channel excess water.

Approximately 1,500 VGP trays were used to establish the 6 metres high green walls which created an impressive façade to accentuate the school’s crest. Furthermore, incorporating nature offers children a healthy environment and a better quality of life through its contribution to environmental sustainability and a source of stress relief for the eye-strained students.
