Fleximent®

What is Fleximent®

Fleximent® 201 is a two-component, polymer-modified flexible cementitious waterproofing coating that cures by pozzolanic reaction. Fleximent® 201 meets the Singapore Standard SS375 for direct contact with potable water and is Singapore Green Label certified. Fleximent® 201 provides excellent adhesion strength for plastering and subsequent tiling works, making it suitable for wet areas.

Fleximent® 202 is a slurry cementitious waterproofing coating.

Surface Preparation
The substrates must be wood trowelled smooth, clean and sound, free of dust, loose particles. Cement laitance, oil grease mould release oil or curing compounds must be removed from concrete surfaces by using wire brush, brush hammer, scabbler, grit blasting or other means.

All substrates must be dampened with water prior to application of Fleximent® 201.

Material Mixing
Pour Part A (liquid) into a clean container and stir/mix with a low speed drill fitted with a purpose made paddle. Pour Part B (powder) slowly into Part A taking care to mix thoroughly until homogeneous and lump-free.

Application
For horizontal and vertical surfaces, a squeegee, roller or broad brush may be used to apply the slurry. Care must be taken to ensure that air is not entrapped in the membrane.

Apply with brush to joints and corners ensuring that areas are worked well into and allow curing to set for approximately an hour (depending on concrete substrate) before application of second coat.

General floor area application is approximately 1.2 mm thick, applied in two coats.

Curing and Protection
Normal concreting procedures should be strictly adhered to. For horizontal areas where the membrane may be subjected to heavy abrasion or tearing, the membrane should be protected with a screed topping.
