Science Technology Park – Hong Kong

To provide bearer support for installation of extensive raised wooden decking areas at the Pool Deck, Lake Side, Roof Gardens and Corridors and Pathways of the Park.

VersiJack pedestals provided the bearer support for the installation of the many wooden decked areas of the Science Park. Apart from lending a distinct cool and natural ambience to the Park, the raised platforms allow unsightly services to be conveniently hidden beneath and also facilitate quick drainage and discharge of rainwater.

Hard Rock Hotel @ Resorts World Sentosa – Singapore

To provide stable deck supports for an extensive area of approximately 1300m² at the front of the Hotel including the pool surrounds and path ways.

VersiJack bearer support pedestal are used for this large timber deck area as they are lightweight, do not need to be mechanically fastened to the floor slab and are height and slope-adjustable. The raised wooden deck comprising of large pre-fabricated panels supported on VersiJack pedestals securely locked at required heights to ensure a firm and level surface allow services to be hidden and water to drain freely away keeping the deck surface safe and dry.

Wollongong Botanical Gardens – NSW Australia

To provide turf stabilization for overflow car parking areas.

TurfPave XD stabilises turf on car parking areas subjected to normal daily and heavy weekend usage. TurfPave XD distribute loads from pedestrian and vehicular traffic to the base course below minimising grass and root compaction. The interconnected cells of TurfPave XD with top and bottom notches allow roots to develop with minimal restriction resulting in a durable and stable grass surface.

Private Residence at Ocean Drive, Sentosa – Singapore

To provide paver support at backyard and pool surrounds overlooking the sea.

VersiJack height adjustable pedestals with spacer tabs were used to support granite pavers and facilitate accurate spacing and alignment of the pavers at the backyard and pool surrounds of the sea-front bungalow. The raised pavers eliminate efflorescence and allow drainage pipes and other services to be conveniently hidden. Unwanted water readily drain through the gaps between pavers enabling the paver surfaces to dry out quickly.

Raffles Dubai Hotel – Dubai UAE

To provide sub-soil drainage for the landscape roof garden of the hotel complex.

VersiCell sub-soil drainage cells were positioned over the prepared grounds of the roof followed by a geotextile filter fabric layer and then the planting soil. The cavity provided by the drainage cells facilitates the efficient drainage of water preventing water-logging and promoting healthy plant growth in the elaborate roof garden of the Hotel.

South Wharf/Melbourne Convention Centre – Melbourne Victoria Australia

To provide pedestal support for bearers to support large decked areas.

VersiJack eliminated the used of brick or metal piers for the installation reducing weight bearing loads on the building structure. It provided air ventilation as well as heat and noise insulation and help also to conceal services which may be easily accessed if required. Aspect Studios, a leading Australian landscape architectural design firm specified VersiJack also because it is manufactured from recycled plastics and thus contribute to the achievement of Green Building rating tool credits.

15 Joan Road – Singapore

To provide extensive planting system to enable planting on top of existing car park polycarbonate shelter in short lead time.

An aluminium sheet was installed over the rooftop to reinforce the polycarbonate rooftop to accept installation of the MEP^® Trays. The lightweight and robust MEP^® Trays were pre-planted in a nursery environment prior to installation. By using locally sourced plant species selected for their hardiness, colour and height in individual trays, desired designs and patterns were easily achieved.

The self-contained trays with water storage compartments and a capillary wick system support sustained plant growth with minimal maintenance. The system includes a support plate with anti-root overflow outlet covers, capillary wicks, geotextile filter, confinement grid, joining and fastening pegs, and a drainage network consisting of base connectors and drainage pipes installed independent of the trays. Rodent barriers were installed at the corners of the perimeter trays to prevent rodent pests from infesting the space between trays.

MEP^® Tray facilitates the almost instant greening of rooftops and allows associated benefits of the green roof to be immediately realised.

University of Adelaide – South Australia

To provide paver support to support pavers on extensive courtyard and walkway areas of the University.

VersiJack pedestals were positioned on insulation boards placed over the concrete slab to facilitate the installation of the pavers. Any rainwater quickly disperses through the gaps between pavers and is drained away enabling paver surfaces to dry out quickly. Eliminating bedding sand substantially reduced the weight bearing load on the building structure and the air gap between pavers and the waterproofed reinforced concrete slab helps to create a cooler building and also reduces sound transmission to the level below.

School of Art, Design and Media, Nanyang Technological University – Singapore

To provide waterproofing for 3 curved landscape roofs.

Waterproofing membrane (Evalon^®) was installed on 3 curved landscape roofs. The landscape roofs create additional open amenity space, insulate the building, cool the surrounding air and assist in harvesting rainwater for landscaping irrigation. The curving green roofs blend landscape and structure, nature and high-tech with an organic and vegetated form that distinguishes the building from among the other structures on campus.

Sembawang – Singapore

To provide a turfed fire truck access lane that meets the loading requirements of the local fire authority.

TurfPave XD was installed on a compacted sub-base to engineering specification, to create a grassed fire truck emergency access way. The stabilized pathway allowed a fully laden fire truck to drive across its entire length demonstrating its ability to meet load conformity specifications.
