The Singapore government has announced heightened measures to curb local transmissions of COVID-19 termed a circuit breaker with effect from 7 April to 4 May 2020. A circuit breaker is not business closure but requires most physical workplace premises to be closed, except for essential services and their related supply chains and service providers.
The impact of COVID-19 has been intensifying as the pandemic continues spreading globally. While we have to remain focused on our mission, the crisis has evolved to a scale that cannot be ignored. As the number of COVID-19 infected cases continues to escalate, Singapore is experiencing a shortage of masks, hand sanitizers and thermometers as everyone is finding personal means to monitor and control the outbreak. Elmich has volunteered to help businesses in dealing with the shortage by going to great lengths to source for infrared thermometers globally.
Pristine garden displays and cascading epiphytic flowering plant sourced from across Singapore’s many community gardens were on display earlier this month at the 3rd iteration of the Community Garden Festival, held this year at the newly reinvigorated Jurong Lake Gardens.

Earlier this month, Elmich’s pedestal and aluminium joist were used to support an exhibition pavilion created through the collaboration between Onewood, PRODUCE, Type0, PANELOGUE, and Superstructure at ArchXpo 2019: The International Exhibition for Architecture & the Built Environment. The result of each company’s expertise and products resulted in a work named The Fluid Net Pavilion which showcased a combination of organic design with precision engineering and architecture.
