The recently concluded architecture festival in Singapore, Archifest 2018, saw over 150,000 visitors participating in the various events at the Festival Pavilion and around the island. Over two weeks from the 29th of September to the 10th of October, the public was invited to take part in the festivities and through it, come to appreciate and understand the spirit of architecture in Singapore. Heartware Network, a charity organization dedicated to youth development, recently made the move into a new office space, complete with a green wall to liven up the working space.
Elmich collaborates with Grace Orchard School (GOS) to provide a Work Experience Programme for their students. The students are assigned administrative tasks that are appropriate to their cognitive abilities. At the same time, the employees have the opportunity to interact and work together with the students, allowing them to have a better understanding and awareness towards individuals with special needs.
Green Thumbs 2016 was held on Saturday, 24 September at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. The park was buzzing with activity and excitement from morning to evening with its truckload of activities. Mr Desmond Lee, Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs and National Development was at the event announcing a funding boost of $5.6 million over the next four years for Singapore’s landscape industry.
Green Thumbs 2016 is an annual event organised by the Landscape Industry Association Singapore (LIAS) with the aim of celebrating the development journey of Singapore’s landscape industry. This year’s installment will be held on 24 September 2016 from 9am to 5pm at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park.
