More than 6000 sq m of VersiCell® were installed to provide drainage beneath artificial turf of the sports field built on the RC rooftop of the car park at the newly completed Stamford American International School in Singapore. The high internal void volume of lightweight VersiCell® modules allows water permeating through the artificial turf, sand and rubber layers to be transported expeditiously to drainage outlets at the perimeter of the field. This efficient discharge of water enables the field to dry out quickly even after heavy rains.
The outdoor field for various sports is amongst many world-class sporting facilities, that include two swimming pools with ionized water, basketball courts, two indoor gyms, and a commercial standard fitness centre, available to students at the School.
The new school offers an advanced learning environment incorporating world-class learning facilities with the latest in classroom technology and IT infrastructure that will establish it as the new benchmark for international schools around the world. The school can cater to up to 2,500 students in Nursery through Grade 12 from diverse racial backgrounds spanning 40 nationalities
