On 15th December 2023, Singapore Polytechnic hosted the event “Charting Towards Net Zero in the Public Sector”, held in support by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and GreenGov.Sg.
15th to 17th November 2023 marked the ninth installation of ArchXpo, an annual exhibition of architecture and the built environment. This year, the excitement was heightened with the unveiling of Elmich’s groundbreaking innovation, the Smart BlueGreen Roof™ , also known as the Modular Stormwater Detention System. The Smart BlueGreen Roof™ addresses the impacts of climate change with improved at-source stormwater management practices through automatic attenuation of stored rainwater.

On 8 May 2023, Singapore’s Mandai Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve opened its doors to the public. The 17-hectare park features eight enchanting walkthrough aviaries and more.
As part of our collaborative efforts towards the creation of spongier cities, Elmich hosted Steven Peck and Rohan Lilauwala from Green Roofs for Healthy Cities together with representatives from the Centre for Urban Greenery & Ecology (CUGE) NParks at one of our supported massive green wall projects at Grab Headquarters.
As part of our continuous efforts to educate and inspire the next generation to create spongier and climate-resilient cities, Elmich collaborated with lecturers and students from Singapore Polytechnic to work on an automated stormwater discharge system for our latest innovation – VersiDrain® BlueGreen™ Roof Tray.
Elmich showcased its extensive range of “Create Spongier Cities” Systems and cutting-edge Waterproofing Solutions at Archidex 2023 – South East Asia’s most successful annual industry trade event for the architecture, interior design and building industry in the region. The exhibition was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia from 26th to 29th July 2023.
The annual National Day Parade is scheduled to take place on 9 August at the iconic Padang, and expects to draw a live audience of 27,000 people. The parade will feature various segments, including the state flag flypast, presidential gun salute, enhanced aerial display, a marching contingent, floats and assets from the Singapore Armed Forces, and concert performances by local artists, dancers and musicians.
