Elmich VGM Green Wall creates a visually appealing, therapeutic and healing environment enjoyed by recuperating patients as well as staff of the Singapore General Hospital.
The living wall acts as a sun screen that helps to lower ambient temperature at the Courtyard and reduce heat absorption by the walls, in turn reducing the internal temperature of the Pharmacy
Five eye-pleasing “green” panels make up the completed 2.5 m high living wall totaling 25 sq m. Running along the façade of the Pharmacy, the 12m long green wall accents the busy corridor between Blocks 4 and 5 of the hospital and provides a green respite amidst the hustle and bustle of the hospital.
