The Royal Condominium, Cambodia

To provide sub-surface drainage for the Intensive Green Roof on the rooftop of the condominium.

Elmich VersiCell^® 3050 drainage modules (drain cells) were installed beneath the geotextile filter fabric layer and the planting soil above. The drainage cavity created enables rapid transport of excess water to drainage points on the roof, preventing waterlogging at the planter boxes and roof gardens. Laid directly on the waterproofing membrane, the modules also provide a protection layer that prolongs the serviceable life of the membrane.

One Farrer Hotel, Singapore

Establish a landscape deck that is resistant to mould and algae in the hotel’s open terraces at level 6.

VersiJack^® height and slope adjustable pedestals were used to support raised pavers on One Farrer Hotel’s newly renovated open terraces at level 6.

Splash Pad
1. A constant 4 mm gap between pavers maintained by Spacer Tabs mounted on the pedestal tops allows water issuing from the fountain spouts to seemingly disappear upon coming into contact with the paver surface, keeping areas beyond the boundaries of the raised paver area completely dry.

2. The pump mechanism and required cabling for the pump are safely and unobstructively hidden in the void space beneath the raised pavers.

3. A layer of porous EPDM rubber flooring was then installed onto the pavers.

Green Lawn (Artificial Turf)
VersiCell^® was installed to provide drainage beneath the artificial turf.

Show Gardens Competition at Singapore Garden Festival 2022, Ngee Ann City, Civic Plaza

To provide pond lining and efficient sub-soil drainage.

VersiCell^® sub-surface drainage modules were installed to facilitate drainage and healthy plant growth in planter boxes.

The Pond Liner (Euraplan^®) which is impermeable was laid on the underlying Geotextile.

Marina One, Singapore

To create a lightweight and efficient drainage layer for landscaped areas.

To create a raised paving system in the M&E facility.

To provide waterproofing in several areas.

2,700 sqm of VersiCell^® sub-surface drainage cells were installed as the drainage layer for landscaped areas. With its narrow profile, VersiCell^® allows for greater soil depth to accommodate a larger variety of plants than drainage media like gravel.

5500 units of VersiPave^® lightweight paver supports were used to create a raised paving system. Independent chocks on pedestals enable minor height adjustments at each paver corner to ensure a levelled surface for pavers with varying thickness.

Fleximent^® 201, Bitulen^® 180, Eurathane^® 2000 and Synthaprufe waterproofing membranes were also used in several areas of the development.

Jewel Changi Airport, 78 Airport Blvd, Singapore 819666

To provide a fire-resistant floor support system for water features.

Jewel Changi Airport’s indoor garden is decked and paved with approx. 3,500 VersiJack fire-resistant pedestals and laid with 30,000 square metres of VersiCell sub-surface drainage modules.

VersiJack®

3,500 VersiJack® pedestals were installed to create a support system for the reflective pool. The void created beneath the paver platforms allowed miscellaneous services to be hidden.

30,000 square metres of VersiCell sub-surface drainage modules facilitate drainage and healthy plant growth in the surrounding planter boxes.

Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, Singapore

To provide a drainage layer for event space to prevent ponding during heavy rainfall.

To provide community green benches for sitting.

VersiCell^® was used to create a flooring platform for the Archifest 2018 Event Pavilion at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza. A total of 1000 pieces of VersiCell were used to create a 250m² area, after which a layer of sustainable material made of bamboo charcoal was laid over as the finishing.

To create the community green benches, 9 VersiTank^® 553 modules were joined together in a 3 by 3 configuration. VersiDrain^® 60 was affixed to the top of the modules and filled with carpet grass to create a comfortable and natural bench for Archifest visitors to rest on. The open nature of the event space meant that our community green benches were exposed to rain. The drainage capabilities of the VersiDrain® 60 allow the turf to stay dry and functional for sitting.

A total of 9 sets of community green benches were created and installed around the event area.
