To provide turf stabilization for the landscaped area along the side facade of the building.

TurfPave XD modules were installed over several long and narrow belts of intended landscaped area along the side of the building which had earlier been levelled and compacted with sand. The modules were assembled on site into long large panels using the integrated snap-on connectors ensuring that the installed modules remain in place. The modules were then covered over with soil followed by a thin layer of sand. Rolled panels of grass were then installed on top creating pleasing landscaped bands of green.

Formula One Grand Prix Pit Building – Singapore

To provide turf stabilization at the immediate surrounds and area fronting the Formula One Pit Building including areas where spectator stands are to be erected totalling approximately 21,000 m².

TurfPave XD modules were installed over the prepared grounds which was first excavated, levelled and compacted with sand. The modules have high compressive strength and snap-on connections allow large panels to be assembled on site ensuring that the modules remain in place. Flexible connecting grids allow modules to follow the contours of uneven surfaces. TurfPave XD cells have 80% unrestricted root base area and top and bottom notches which allow unrestricted runner and root growth. The modules were covered over with soil and then with a thin sand layer and further compacted with a mechanised roller. The spectator stands were then erected over the firm and level ground.
