{"id":8762,"date":"2013-04-19T20:41:04","date_gmt":"2013-04-19T09:41:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/?p=8762"},"modified":"2023-07-21T10:38:32","modified_gmt":"2023-07-21T02:38:32","slug":"retaining-rainwater-in-arid-doha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/retaining-rainwater-in-arid-doha\/","title":{"rendered":"Retaining Rainwater in Arid Doha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Elmich is proud to be the provider of the water retention (and storm water management) system at the IKEA flagship store in Doha Festival City, the largest shopping mall in Qatar.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/News-Versitank-Doha01.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8763\" src=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/News-Versitank-Doha01-1024x765.jpg\" alt=\"News - Versitank - Doha01\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nApproximately 17,000 sets of Elmich\u2019s VersiTank VT840 were used to construct the water retention tank in front of IKEA&#8217;s flagship store. The tank measuring 42m length x 24m width x 2.1m height which holds up to 2,100 m<sup>3<\/sup> of water was installed in five layers with a maximum inflow rate of 570 litres per second and outflow rate of 24 litres per second.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/News-Versitank-Doha02.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8764\" src=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/News-Versitank-Doha02-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"News - Versitank - Doha02\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe retained rainwater supplies water for irrigation of landscaped gardens and also for miscellaneous cleaning at the IKEA store and its immediate vicinity.
