15th to 17th November 2023 marked the ninth installation of ArchXpo, an annual exhibition of architecture and the built environment. This year, the excitement was heightened with the unveiling of Elmich\u2019s groundbreaking innovation, the Smart <\/strong>BlueGreen Roof<\/strong>\u2122<\/strong><\/a> , also known as the Modular Stormwater Detention System. The Smart <\/strong>BlueGreen Roof<\/strong>\u2122<\/strong><\/a> addresses the impacts of climate change with improved at-source stormwater management practices through automatic attenuation of stored rainwater.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Elmich team had the privilege to introduce the system to Mr Tan Kiat How – Senior Minister of State for Ministry for National Development<\/a> & Ministry of Communications and Information<\/a> and guests on the first morning of the exhibition.<\/p>\n

The past three days saw a multitude of visitors that marvelled at the adaptability and functionalities of the system, envisioning possibilities to convert conventional roofs into vibrant green spaces that not only promotes biodiversity<\/strong> and reduce the impact of urban heat island effects<\/strong>, but also minimises the likelihood of flooding in urban areas<\/strong>, especially in cities, by reducing the volume of surface run-off entering sewer networks.<\/p>\n
