The 50,000 sqm Early Learning Village, is a collaboration between the Australian International School and the Stamford American International School. The innovative new shared campus consists of five buildings and more than 100 classrooms, designed specifically for children aged 18 months to six years old and is the first in the world on this scale for Early Years education.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The $200 million campus features various multifunctional spaces like outdoor play decks, a 20m swimming pool and an air-conditioned indoor multi-purpose gymnasium.<\/p>\n

To provide their students with a warm and welcoming learning environment to develop holistically, green walls totalling approximately 151 square metres were installed on the school campus. VersiWall\u00ae GP<\/a> (VGP) was the system of choice in this installation, with over 4,500 VGP Trays used in the construction of the walls. The trays were then filled with plants of varying shades of green, creating a layered and vibrant visual appearance that stands out in a school environment.<\/p>\n

VersiJack\u00ae<\/a> (VJ) pedestals were used to raise flooring slabs of each semi-enclosed balcony to convert otherwise unused space into a designated age-appropriate discovery area for the classrooms. The discovery areas expose children to their natural surroundings to work collaboratively through playing in deep sand pits and experimenting with waterplay.<\/p>\n

A fire-resistant (FR) variant of VGP and VJ was used in this project for increased safety against fire. Elmich\u2019s FR material conforms to safety regulations set by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)\/Fire Safety and Shelter Department (FSSD), as well as several international fire safety standards, ensuring that students have a safe environment to learn and grow in.<\/p>\n
