This year, proceeds from ChariTrees 2018 are going to The Business Times Budding Artists\u2019 Fund, which seeks to make the arts accessible for children and youths from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last Friday, President Halimah Yacob kicked off the event with the lighting up of the 30 trees at an opening ceremony where various corporations, initiatives, and individuals were recognised for their support towards the less fortunate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_9367fixed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-12405\" src=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_9367fixed-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9367fixed\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_9367fixed-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_9367fixed-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/20181109_201531.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-12401\" src=\"http:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/20181109_201531-1024x498.jpg\" alt=\"20181109_201531\" width=\"1000\" height=\"486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/20181109_201531-1024x498.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/elmich.com\/asia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/20181109_201531-300x146.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Elmich\u2019s translucent VersiTanks were used to create the bases for the traditional Christmas trees, as well as 2 super trees, where VersiTanks were stacked to create a towering \u201cchristmas tree\u201d of over 3 metres in height.
