The students are assigned administrative tasks that are appropriate to their cognitive abilities. At the same time, the employees have the opportunity to interact and work together with the students, allowing them to have a better understanding and awareness towards individuals with special needs.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Apart from raising awareness towards the needs of these students, organisations can also play a crucial part in helping them integrate into working life. As part of their comprehensive and developmentally appropriate curriculum, students between the ages of 13 \u2013 18 undergo the Vocational Education Programme which equips them with basic vocational skills, work experience, and soft skills. An important part of the Vocational Education Programme is the Work Experience Programme, which aims to allow students to experience work in an authentic industry setting and eventually enhance their employability.
