Located about 40 km away from Tianjin City centre, the 30 sq km Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City is a landmark private sector development in the Tianjin Binhai New Area. Conceptualised as a sustainable urbanized community in China, it will bring Singapore’s eco-capabilities and latest green building solutions into focus and provide a platform for Singapore’s clean and green technology companies to exhibit their products and capabilities in China.
On 8th July 2011, Elmich signed a memorandum of understanding with Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Co. Ltd. (SSTEC) to participate in one of the Eco-City’s iconic projects, the Low Carbon Living Lab (LCLL). Developed by SSTEC jointly with Singapore’s Building & Construction Authority and IE Singapore, the LCLL will be a Platinum-rated office building under the Eco-City’s Green Building Evaluation Standards.
With the signing, Elmich joins other Singapore-based small and medium enterprises to provide products and services for the LCLL and to participate in its research and development of green building technologies and eco-solutions. Elmich’s participation in this project enables the Company to demonstrate its capabilities and new eco-solutions in China.
