It is our pleasure to announce that Elmich Pte Ltd has achieved organisational certification to the Singapore (SS 540) and British standards (BS 25999) for Business Continuity Management (BCM). Our systems and processes that are critical to customer service, sales support, supply chain, finance and HR were comprehensively audited by TUV Rheinland auditors in October and November 2011.
Continued business operation in the event of a disruption, whether due to a major disaster or a minor incident, is a fundamental requirement for any organisation. SS 540 and BS 25999, the Singapore and British standard respectively for BCM, have been developed to help companies identify and analyse potential risks that threaten them and the development of response plans to minimise their impact on the business. Elmich’s attainment of these certifications demonstrates our continued commitment to deliver world-class solutions for all of our partners and customers, who can be assured that critical services and products will still be delivered during periods of internal or external disruptions.
This is a significant achievement for Elmich as we join only a handful of Singapore companies with dual BCM accreditations. Over the past eight months, we have established or overhauled internal systems, processes and plans to ensure that Elmich remains resilient and robust to serve our customers during the most challenging and unexpected circumstances. Looking forward, we will continue to enhance our BCM systems and activities in order to maintain the integrity of our certifications.
